New York Times review, Fretwork
10th February. Rave review in the New York Times of Fretwork's concert in Carmegie's Weill recital hall. Their programme, 'Musick's Monument', is based on Thomas Mace's publication of the same title, an overview of great music and musicians of the 17th Century published in 1676. The idea of basing a program on 'Musick’s Monument' began with Richard Campbell, a founder of Fretwork who committed suicide last March. The group’s surviving members dedicated the concert to his memory.
