The Théâtre de la Ville has asked Kenneth Weiss, one of Gustav Leonhardt’s most distinguished disciples, to give a recital on Bach’s birthday. Rather than embarking on yet another grand Bach cycle (Kenneth has been performing complete Well-Tempered Claviers around the world), he has chosen to present Bach along side two of his most illustrious contemporaries, Handel and Scarlatti, also born in 1685. Perhaps the most fertile year in the history of music? A recital not to be missed!
