The wonderful British period instrument London Haydn Quartet is at last back in France for a concert at the charming Italianate Théâtre des Lices in Albi, organised by the Scène nationale, with a programme comprising of Haydn's opus 76 No. 6 quartet, Beethoven's opus 95 and, in the second half, Haydn's opus 77 No 1.
The Quartet will soon be recording the final album of their complete Haydn String Quartet cycle for the prestigious Hyperion Records label which they started in 2007 with Haydn's opus 9 quartets.
