From 11th to 15th May Dominique Visse, founding member of the Ensemble Clément Janequin and an autjhority on 16th Cenbtury polyphony, shares his considerable knowledge in an early music seminar on the theme of the Battles and Lamentations of Janequin and Carpentras at the Fondation Giorgio Cini the San Giorgio Maggiore island in Venice. Workshops and lectures on the manuscript and printed transmission of the repertoire will be held by Kate van Orden, Dwight P. Robinson Jr. Professor of Music and 16th-century expert at Harvard University.
