The Doric String Quartet is joined by the pianist Alasdair Beatson for a concert on 31st August in the Festival International de quatuors à cordes du Luberon in which they perform Fauré's 1st quintet in C minor opus 15, Vierne's 1st quintet opus 42, and Brahms's third quartet in B flat major opus 67. On 2nd September the Doric String Quartet gives a second concert with Purcell's 4 part Fantasias Nos 6, 7 and 10, Haydn's G major quartet opus 33 No 5 and Beethoven's Grand Fugue in B flat major opus 133.
