The Doric String Quartet has been invited with Sir Andras Schiff, among others, to the Lofoten International Chamber Music Festival in the far North of Norway by the Engegård String Quartet. They take part in several concerts from 8th to 13th July with Haydn op. 33 quartets, Mendelssohn's Octet with the Engegård String Quartet, Beethoven’s String Quartet op. 131, Suk's Piano Quartet No 1 with Joachim Carr, piano, Schubert’s cello quintet with Soo-Kyong Hong, cello, and Thomas Adès’s Four Quarters. Plus a surprise programme on final evening !
