The Doric String Quartet, amongst Britain’s leading quartets, make a welcome return to the Wigmore Hall with a programme combining the humour of one of Haydn’s ‘Russian’ quartets – whose opening gesture once earned it the nickname ‘How do you do?’ – with the profundity of one of Beethoven’s late masterpieces.
