Elsa Grether and Ferenc Vizi have the pleasure of performing a programme to illustrate “Opus 77”, a novel by Alexis Ragougneau centred on the portrait of a family of musicians stifling under the weight of unspoken tensions, whose guiding thread is the moody colour palette of Shotakovich's 1st violin concerto.
With Janáček's violin sonata, Beethoven's Kreutzer sonata No. 9 Op. 47 and the Shostakovich concerto, Elsa et Ferenc provide a striking musical illustration.
