The King’s Consort has been invited to the prestigious George Enescu International Festival in Bucharest to give a performance on 4th September of Mendelssohn's super oratorio Paulus, a magnificent vocal cast: Carolyn Sampson, soprano, Hilary Summers, mezzo-soprano, James Gilchrist, tenor & David Wilson-Johnson, bass. This is followed on 5th September by a performance of Odes for St. Cecilia , a programme that brings together masterpieces by Purcell, Handel & Britten, for which they are joined by the countertenor Robin Blaze.
