The Ensemble Clément Janequin & Les Sacqueboutiers appear together in the Festival Baroque de Tarentaise on 5th August at 9 pm in the Eglise Saint-Pierre de Séez and on 6th August at 9 pm in the Cathédrale Saint-Pierre de Moûtiers where they perform L’homme armé, larmes et alarmes.
This programme is a homage to the figure of L’homme armé, the brave warrior killed in action, to whom they dedicate Pierre de La Rue's Requiem Missa pro defunctis, followed by a thanksgiving mass on musical battles themes, famous in their day, that bring together several Renaissance composers - Dufay, Janequin, Palestrina, Obrecht, Bermúdez, de La Rue…
